My current position at MIBS is IT Governance Manager. Since Mitsubishi Corporation implemented J-SOX, I have been in charge of IT Internal Control for about 13 years and have been responsible for supporting not only MCA and MIC but also many Mitsubishi Group companies located in North America. Before that, I worked as a systems engineer, but changing my career path within MIBS was not difficult as my boss and management listened to me empathetically about my future and what I wanted to do during the annual review. It's also an easy environment to work in, as they always support me in balancing work and childcare.

I was born in Kyoto, raised in Tokyo and Chiba. I used to work at major Microsoft partner's company in Tokyo. Over 13 years’ experience in Windows server management, network engineer, and cloud architect there. My current position at MIBS is IT system engineer. I'm a System Engineer/Project Manager and my main role is to build and maintain IT systems for Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas) and its subsidiaries in the Americas region. Especially, the work I do at our company is definitely very rewarding because I implement and maintain Microsoft Azure for a Mitsubishi corporation's group. What attracts me to MIBS is that I can implement and maintain an IT system using the latest technology for an enterprise environment.

I was born in Pakistan, raised in Canada, and studied university in Pennsylvania, USA. I enjoy learning history and languages. I have worked in Japan as well. Currently, I work as an IT Helpdesk support specialist for MIBS. I assist with software and hardware troubleshooting of PCs, and iPhones. I also assist with troubleshooting applications and cloud services. Lastly, I configure new PCs and iPhones for users and give training on how to use these devices. I enjoy working as a Helpdesk staff. I feel very relieved and motivated when I am able to solve a user's problem. I think troubleshooting and problem-solving a technical or software issue is challenging but that makes the job more rewarding. I hope to expand from an entry-level to a professional level and gain better knowledge of technical issues. I wanted to join this company to improve not only my technical skills but also my Japanese language skills. I aimed to work for Mitsubishi because I think it is a great company filled with opportunities for its employees. I am grateful to work for MIBS because they helped me every step of the way. They also provided extensive training and knowledge on the inner software and network of the company. I feel that working at MIBS has helped me enormously in learning new technical terms and problem-solving.

After 15 years of working at MIBS, most of my work is as a Project and Senior Project Manager. I had a lot of opportunities to experience many unique projects across different industries including foods manufacture and distribution, chemical manufacture and suppliers, metal and coil center, industrial machinery, gasoline distribution, etc. I think this is the most appealing and unique job experience I can only acquire at MIBS since it is the only IT company of MC Group in North America. The business of sogo shosha like MC is investing in companies in many different industries and my job is to be involved in the full project life cycle from initial consulting, application selection support, application implementation and PMO support, to post-go-live support, to providing high-quality service with project team members and external partners. . At the same time, I am also handling MIBS’ internal ERP and working on simplifying the operation process and reporting perspectives to executives. As a reward for my effort, I was honored to be nominated as the most respected employee of 2020 of MIBS. In 2007, after almost 5 years of IT consulting at a major firm in Japan,, I was introduced by a career agency to MIBS and was honored to join MIBS’ Business Solution Division in November 2007, mainly managing the logistics area of MIBS SAP ASP service for MC subsidiaries and groups companies in North America. This important decision (the 2nd critical decision in my whole career) is driven by three reasons: firstly I was willing to have experience working in a global environment with multiple cultures, and the location of MIBS in the middle of New York was a perfect match. Second, during the interview with the president and vice president, when I heard the clear strategy and expectation to enhance the SAP service, I was confident that I could fully leverage my experiences acquired from multiple SAP projects to play an important role in the company. Lastly, I heard that the work-life balance was respected, so all employees could have enough personal time to enjoy with family and pursue other activities. Benefitting from this I was able to complete a graduate certification from New York University and PMP certification with MIBS’ support in the early years after joining the company.
