- Challenge
- Konica Minolta Holdings, Inc. made the decision in January 2006 to close one of the business operation companies, Konica Minolta Photo Imaging, Inc. in the United States. However, one of the departments, Sensing Dept, was to continue the business as the separate entity, by establishing Konica Minolta Sensing Americas, Inc., and needed to implement the SAP system by April 2006.
- Solution
- Configured and developed the functions for Konica Minolta Sensing Americas’ unique business model based on the MIBS SAP template.
- Result/Benefits
- All necessary functions were added to the MIBS SAP template within 3 months and all data were successfully migrated before Go-Live date. Usually, SAP system implementation project takes more than 6 months, but we were able to completed the project in 3 months.
- The client does not have to acquire any assets, but they just need to access to the MIBS SAP system via the internet. So, they were able to reduce the system development cost dramatically.
- Current Status
- It has been 1 year since the client started using the MIBS SAP system and they have been satisfied with the service from MIBS.
- They are planning to implement additional functions such as EDI with warehouse in order to improve the efficiency of daily operations.
